Another Gang-Rape Case: 5-Man Gang Rapes 15-Year-Old Girl for 2 Weeks

The police in Lagos have paraded four suspects - three guys and lady - for the abduction, torture and rape of a 15-year-old girl (names withheld) in Akesan, a suburb of Lagos. Although two members of the notorious gang are still at large, luck ran out of the four presently in custody when dedicated police officers launched a comprehensive search for the missing girl.
The teenager was abducted while on her way to...
the Igando area of Lagos where she lives with her parents. The victim’s parents reported the incident at the police station in Igando, but not much progress was achieved until after two weeks when the criminals hideout was busted. The teenage girl sustained several injuries as she was mercilessly rough handled by her captors. She's said to be receiving treatment at the General Hospital, Igando.
Consequently, the police arraigned the four suspects before a Magistrate court for Conspiracy, Abduction, Assault and Rape. After a careful study of the matter, Chief Magistrate Shery Solebo ordered that the case be transferred to the Ikeja High Court for substantive trial.
The suspects are: Tony Igbo (32), Onyekachi Joshua (34), Paul Ibeh and Chika Eze, a 22-year-old woman - said to be the victim’s friend - who allegedly lured her to where she was abducted... This latest case brings to five, the number of rape cases that have been reported in the the last five weeks. But who knows how many would have happened that nobody reported?
